Start with a small relevant inventory
You do not need to catalogue the entire home. For a speech-practice plan, check whether a Standing Mirror is already present; for guitar practice, check the Acoustic Guitar.
The published routes tested actions on placed furniture. The Skills panel showed progress, but it was not the practice entry used in those observations.
Match one item to one activity
Build your brief around a purpose first, then inspect the item’s actual menu. Ownership is useful only when the relevant action is currently accessible.
Useful owned-item checks
The observed free actions and requirements are dated examples. They help locate a menu; they do not set mandatory purchases or fixed training rates.
| Owned item | Published route |
|---|---|
| Standing Mirror | Practice Speech |
| Acoustic Guitar | Practice Guitar |
| Laptop Desk | Practice Coding; other actions checked separately |
| Placed TV | Inspect current program choices |
Avoid making a duplicate item the default
The later Evening News test used an existing TV rather than buying a second one. The guitar guide likewise begins with the guitar already owned when available.
A new item can be a style choice, but separate that preference from the claim that another purchase is needed to use an existing action.
Five later actions on existing facilities
A later public activity record adds concrete choices to inspect on existing home facilities. Its five actions were labelled Free and produced the following narrow observed changes; they do not establish fixed recovery amounts or future availability.
The Music and Coding level crossings used that character’s starting progress, and Big Brother Naija ended with Fun capped. Displayed menu seconds were not measured action times. These later results were not verified after reload.
| Existing facility and action | Observed window |
|---|---|
| Standing Mirror → Hype Yourself | Fun 58% → 68% |
| TV → Big Brother Naija | Fun 68% → 100%; Social 58% → 66% |
| TV → Afrobeats Music Videos | Music 3 → 4 while Fun was full |
| Laptop → Practice Coding | Coding 2 → 3; Fun 100% → 94% |
| Cooler Box → Drink Zobo | Hunger 65% → 70%; Fun 93% → 99% |
What if I cannot find the action?
Check that Buy mode is closed and that the placed item’s menu is open. Then read the current requirement or unavailable message instead of relying on an old screenshot.
Does owning the item guarantee progress? No. Completion, starting skill progress and later saving are separate checks in the published reports.
Sources & dates
Check what each source records. A menu label and a completed playtest are different kinds of evidence.
